Rules of Play

The lottery by The Snowsuit Fund/ Le Fonds Habineige, 225 Donald St #134, Ottawa, ON K1K 1N1, will take place from November 22, 2024 online at www.5050forthecity.com 

All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older. 

Tickets prices are:  

  • 5 tickets for $10 
  • 20 ticket for $25 
  • 100 tickets for $50 
  • 500 tickets for $100 

Tickets will be sold using an electronic raffle system supplied by BUMP, A Division of Canadian Bank Note Company, Ltd. 

 

Draws Dates and Prizes are as follows:  

$1,000 Canadian Tire Gift Card draw will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024 

$2,000 Canadian Tire Gift Card draw will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 

$5,000 Canadian Tire Gift Card draw will take place on Friday, December 20, 2024 

50/50 draw will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025 

 

All draws will take place at Rogers Radio, 2001 Thurston Drive at 8:45 AM. To be eligible for each draw, ticket purchases must be made no later than 8:30 AM on the date of each draw. 

 

After purchasing, patrons will be emailed a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Number Issuing System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly. 

The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generator (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw. 

The amount of the 50/50 will be monitored on www.5050forthecity.com and will be the greater of a $25,000 guaranteed jackpot or 50% of the total sales during the time of the draw. 

Winning numbers will be announced on the website, social media channels and live on air. Winners will also be contacted directly by a representative from The Snowsuit Fund/ Le Fonds Habineige by phone and/or email. 

Winners may claim their prize by contacting The Snowsuit Fund/ Le Fonds Habineige at (613) 746-8719 or by email at 5050@snowsuitfund.com. The ticket may then be brought to 225 Donald St #134, Ottawa, ON at an agreed-upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be awarded the prize. 

Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. Gift cards must be accepted as awarded and have no cash value.  The 50/50 payment will be made by cheque for a minimum amount representing 50% of the total sales for the draw. 

Winning ticket holders have 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the applicable draw. 

The winner must provide photo identification and verify their phone number and address in order to claim their prize. Once a certified winner is verified, and provides identification with a photo ID, they will be awarded their prize. If the winner cannot provide a photo ID, the prize will be held until such identification can be provided(up to a maximum of 6 months). 

If a winner does not come forward, the prize will be kept and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated back to The Snowsuit Fund/ Le Fonds Habineige with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). 

Ticket purchasers must be located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
